Emergency Procedure

This procedure aims to ensure the safety and well-being of all students, staff, and visitors in the event of an emergency. Every member of the Star Light School community must be familiar with and adhere to the established prevention and response measures, as well as the various alarm signals used during fire drills, lockdowns, and evacuations.

In any emergency, staying calm helps prevent panic and allows for safer, more effective responses.

In the event of a fire or other evacuation, proceed quickly and quietly to the designated exit and assemble at the preassigned meeting area.

During lockdowns, everyone should secure themselves in a safe location, remain silent, turn off lights, and stay out of sight until the "all clear" is given.

For certain emergencies (e.g., severe weather), remaining indoors in a safe, designated area is required. Instructions will be provided by school officials.

Regular drills are conducted to practice emergency procedures to ensure everyone knows what to do and where to go.

Students and staff are encouraged to report any unusual or concerning behavior or situations immediately to a school official.

During an emergency, it is essential that students remain with their class or assigned group to ensure accountability and safety.

Families are asked to keep emergency contact information up to date. Students should also be familiar with their guardian’s contact details.
